Fragment - what remains of an old work; part extracted from a book, from a speech. What to think about when building a book? a set of pages that narrate moments, clustered in libraries, cataloged strips of knowledge. Pieces of a whole that taken from their original context inherit new meanings. A series of quota codes taken from the collection of the Art Library of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, enrich a thematic collection, from Geography and Cartesian graphics to the digitization of book pages in several languages. Punctuating this tripartite narrative, we find texts such as the Library of Babel by Jorge Luís Borges and considerations about the fragment at the center of history and visual culture. The texture of the black pages contrasts with the stimulating colors of risography. This compilation can be read sequentially or by disassembling the three pieces that allow individual reading.
