DOT:GO
Helping the visually impaired navigate the world, find objects, and automate actions.
There are 285 million visually impaired people worldwide. For a blind or visually impaired person it’s challenging to lead an active, independent life. Most object recognition apps focus on just detecting objects and are closed systems limited to proprietary data, leading to fragmentation and high costs. Dot Go is different because it is fully customizable.
SOLUTION
Dot Go assists in experiencing the world by connecting objects to actions. It is a community-driven platform powered by computer vision models and diverse use cases. Any object can be set to trigger action such as activating sounds, vibration, or screen-flashes, opening websites and apps, or even interacting with external devices. For individuals: Dot Go helps visually impaired people navigate the world, find objects, and automate daily tasks to lead an independent life. For businesses and organizations: Custom trained computer vision models can make retail-stores and public spaces more accessible for the visually impaired. With the platform approach, Dot Go lowers the cost and effort associated with developing individual apps.
